EVANS, Ga. – Champions Retreat, a revered private golf club located just outside of Augusta, Ga. –and the only club in the world featuring three individually designed courses by Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and the late Arnold Palmer –welcomes award-winning PGA Professional Mike Rymer as its Director of Golf.

With more than 15 years of experience, Rymer’s extensive background is expected to reflect the high level of service applauded at the club. His expertise emanates from tenure at high-end, private golf club operations, two well-known for hosting PGA TOUR events including Innisbrook, host of the Valspar Championship, as well as TPC Tampa Bay, host of the Encompass Insurance Pro-Am of Tampa Bay, an event on the Champions Tour. Most recently, Rymer served as the Head Golf Professional at Four Streams, an exclusive, private golf-only club located just outside of Washington, DC.

Rymer’s start in the golf industry began as early as high school where he won the Maryland State High School Championship his senior year before joining the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) men’s golf team the following semester.

In addition to his ability to facilitate compelling golf instruction, Rymer is also a decorated and talented player. His accolades continue to accumulate after being being elected to membership in the PGA and named an Acushnet Scholarship winner in 2004 for his accomplishments in the PGA of America’s Professional Golf Management Program. Additionally, he has been recognized as a Titleist Staff Member since 2003 and has qualified for and played in the 2007, 2009 & 2010 PGA Professional National Championships and the 2005 PGA National Assistants Championship. Throughout his professional experience, Rymer has given more than 300 lessons annually for the past 10 years.
